2 Course Description This course focuses on the importance of the operations function in organizations. Students examine the fundamental issues of facilities location, output planning, inventory control, scheduling, and quality control. The course emphasizes quality and its impact in securing a strategic advantage for manufacturing and service entities. 1-2

11 School of Business Policies   All course projects will be graded within one week of their due date   Students submitting late projects must e-mail the instructor to let them know the submission has been posted to the dropbox   Late projects will be graded no later than one week following the date the student e-mails the instructor to notify them the project has been submitted   Discussion grades will be updated each week no later than Saturday of the week following the unit’s completion 1-11

12 Participating in Discussions   Communicate with professor and classmates by using the threaded discussion areas   Contributions are expected from each student for each unit   Discussions allow the student to demonstrate that they not only understand the subject matter, but they can apply what they have learned, can analyze it, and can integrate it with knowledge they already have to evaluate the information critically   Please refer to syllabus and follow the guidelines on timeliness and substance of postings

17 Spacing Example  As you can see to the right, the Spacing on the left is set at 0 pts Before and 10 pts After. This is what causes the gap between the paragraphs. To see this you can mark the last line in the paragraph, right click on Paragraph, and this screen will appear. All you have to do is mark your entire paper and make sure the spacing is consistent throughout by making it 0 and 0. Let me know if this helps explain what you need to do.
