We strengthened the academic, career and technical skills of our students by: Incorporated 3 rd party endorsements/certificates in course contents: -FANUC -NATEF -NIMS -AWS -OSHA -EPA Section 608 refrigerant -NATE/ICE -DHSR-NAI Use of embedded tutors in MAC program, resulting in improved student retention

We linked career and technical education at the secondary level with career and technical education at the postsecondary level: Hired Director of High School Partnerships & Initiatives which increased CCP head count by 100% (150-300) Developed eight new CCP pathways to add to 22 existing pathways Career/Job fair with more than 40 employers & 400 students in attendance

We provided students with strong experience in, and understanding of all aspects of an industry by: Students participated in numerous live projects: -Built tabletop PC Board printer (EET & CNC students) -Build pneumatic gripper for robot (AET students) -Built engine stand to use in automotive program (MAC students) -Built PLC trainers used on Davie Campus (EET students) -Fabricated butterflies for community project (Welding & MAC students) -Installed at least six units (AHR students) -Tours of businesses and industries

We developed, improved, or expanded the use of technology in career and technical education by: Faculty acquired additional professional credentials: -AWS certification - OBD II safety instructor - Hunter alignment certification -Lean Bronze certification - Solid Works & Master Cam training -OSHA 10 hour instructor training Sent faculty for training on medical simulation implementation

We provided professional development by: Faculty Attended: -National Association of EMS Educators (2) -Writing Workshop (1) -Association of Surgical Technologist Instructors Forum (1) -Commission on Accreditation of EMS Programs Conference (2) -Cybersecurity Conference (2) -Air Conditioning, Heating, Refrigeration Expo (1) -NC Computer Instructor Association Presentation (2)

10 6. We developed and implemented evaluations of our career and technical education programs by: Program Reviews: -Automotive Systems Technology -Computer Integrated Machining -Electronics Engineering Technology -Welding Technologies -Motorcycle Mechanics

We Initiated, improved, expanded, and modernized quality career and technical education programs, including relevant technology by: Purchased four microscopes for the MLT program Implemented AET program Integrated four Mitsubishi robots into EET program Purchased two Stryker stretchers Purchased high fidelity patient simulator for health careers

We provided services and activities that are of sufficient size, scope, and quality to be effective as evidenced by: Programs are accredited by national organizations Nursing Medial Assisting Health Information Technology Surgical Technology (accreditation visit – Fall 2016) Automotive Systems Technology Students are earning industry recognized credentials RN AWS NATEF NIMS FANUC Student completion rate – 74.8% Student placement rate – 72%

13 9. We provided activities to prepare special populations students who are enrolled in CTE courses by: Working with two workforce boards, DavidsonWorks & Northwest Piedmont Workforce Development Board, on the development and implementation of two certified pathways ( Nursing & Logistics) On-site Child Development Center which students use for child care.
