4. IAEA Why is Uranium Attractive (Customers?) Anomaly A has been the focus of geological investigation on the Lere project to date. Field mapping, boreholes logging show the ore body to be in a weathered, iron stained, fractured and sheared low quartz Granit. The Uranium deposit target size is estimated to be in order of 20 million pounds of contained U ₃ O ₈.

5. IAEA Needed Investment (Finances) The central objective of the ministry is to allow development of mining in Chad and aid the economic development of the country. With the help of donors, the government is investing 500.000 000 FCF/ year in mining exploration. However given the potential of the territory and the economic benefits that might result from these mineral resources, double this investment is needed. But Chad is still seeking grants counterpart funding from Organizations such as World Bank, IAEA…etc
