6  Offers printing & other services to recognized Clubs & Organizations, including:  Printing free 40 copies/day/club  2 Student Designers to assist with posters, flyers, etc.  Large sized poster printer  Assistance with marketing ideas  Other services including lamination, cutting, etc.  Stamps for all university-approved events  Poster Design Request Form & Flyer Approval Form on the Involvement Network  Email jwuresourceroom@gmail.com

7  Want your organization’s poster or flyer advertised on the television kiosks around campus? This is FREE and a great way to promote!  For kiosk systems overseen by Student Activities (in Residence Halls, commuter lounge, CBCSI, etc.), simply click the box on the Flyer Approval Form to have your flyer uploaded (MUST be a.jpg file)  For kiosk systems in CCCE and HAC: email a powerpoint slide with your flyer or event information to: Michelle Couture at michelle.couture@jwu.edu (HAC) and Karin Lucier at karin.lucier@jwu.edu (CCCE)michelle.couture@jwu.edukarin.lucier@jwu.edu

8  Clubs can request free Pepsi products for club- sponsored on-campus events:  Must request 2 weeks in advance  Only available for events, not meetings  Request through Involvement Network – Pepsi Product Request Form  Once approved, pick up at Student Activities @ Harborside

9  Our staff can assist with leadership programs for your club or organization  Many of us have expertise in different areas of Leadership Development – ask us to help with a retreat or training session!  We have a Leadership Library full of books on leadership, icebreakers, etc. – visit the Leadership office on the 2 nd floor of CBCSI for more info!  Send new members of your club to Emerging Leaders –it’s a great way to grow your organization!

13 Other important info to note...

14  Fundraising  Be sure Student Activities knows what fundraiser you’re doing, where, etc. – this will help prevent overlap  When asking for donations:  Notify Meagan Sage/Annie Chenon who you are asking and what you’re asking for to get approval  Do NOT ask departments for donations

15  Sound permits  For events in outdoor locations (including Gaebe Commons, Xavier Courtyard, and Harborside Greenspace), a sound permit is needed  Apply at Providence City Hall at LEAST one week in advance (usually 2!)  Permits are $25 paid for by your club/organization  Parking permits  For guest speakers or performers, parking permits are no longer available  Student activities DOES have a parking list available to provide to performers if needed

16  Safety at events  When an event has more than 100 people estimated in attendance, or it is “high risk” Safety & Security details should be hired for the event  1 CSS officer per 100 attendees  Minimum of 3 hours, $26/hour, paid for by club  Must be requested 2 weeks in advance  Student Activities can assist with requesting CS&S at events

17  Raffles  For all raffles where CASH is the prize, a raffle permit must be obtained from the RI State Police  Raffles where the prize is an item, gift card, etc., do NOT need a raffle permit  For assistance getting a raffle permit, meet with Meagan Sage in Student Activities  Games of Chance  For games of chance including Casino Nights, poker tournaments, etc:  If admission/participation is FREE, these are allowed  If there is a charge to play/participate, a permit must be obtained
