2. Pollution types- point source Point source pollution = source of pollution is known and identifiable. Real life examples= toxic effluents from a factory, agricultural run-off. Effluents= chemicals or fluid that flows out

Pollution types- nonpoint source Nonpoint source pollution = source of pollution is too widespread to identify or blame Real life examples= urban run-off from roads and parking lots, neighborhood run-off from storm drains, sewage leaks such as pig waste or pesticides, and overfishing from fisheries.

8. Ways to correct-stewardship Stewardship = to protect the environment Ways to be a good steward: 1. Conservation of resources 2. Clean up of polluted areas 3. Establishment of nature preserves and wildlife areas

9. Water Treatment Water treatment plants = where they filter, remove, and chemically sanitize water to provide drinkable water.
