7 Secondary data Self-esteem boost underpinned by continuous achievements and milestones. Higher levels of parental motivation for change. Anecdotal parental weight loss. Improved parent – child relationships resulting in a greater family synergy. Spreading of the ‘healthy lifestyle’ message among wider family and peers. Sustained involvement in outdoor activity (join local community clubs, buy a bike/surfboard)
