Started his studies at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn from 1941-1943 Served in military from 1942-1945 He also studied in the museum of fine arts in Boston. Only lasted about a year. He continued studies there after in Paris. His first individual show of art was also presented in Paris.

15. American sculptor and art writer Donald Judd (1928-1994) was best known as a major practitioner of and spokesman for Minimalism in the 1960s. His art displayed an overall sense of wholeness and clarity. Though he died in 1994 his work is own by Judd foundation.
