2 About the movement This movement was during the late 1950’s to the early 1970’s This movement is also known as : rejective art, ABC art, or reductivism The idea of this movement was to get the viewer to experience the work more intensely without the distractions of composition, theme and so on.

8 Bio Born in Jamaica, New York April 1,1933. Died November 29, 1996 Went to a parochial then a preparatory school 1953 he enlisted in the Air Force He attended the Columbia University and studied art history

12 Born in 1923 in New York His work consist of painting, sculpting, and architecture. Started his studies at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn from 1941-1943 Served in military from 1942-1945 He also studied in the museum of fine arts in Boston. Only lasted about a year. He continued studies there after in Paris. His first individual show of art was also presented in Paris.

15 American sculptor and art writer Donald Judd (1928-1994) was best known as a major practitioner of and spokesman for Minimalism in the 1960s. His art displayed an overall sense of wholeness and clarity. Though he died in 1994 his work is own by Judd foundation.
