8. The Wreck of the Zanzibar The Wreck of the Zanzibar is a story about a 14 year old girl (Laura) who lived on the island Bryher. She and her brother Billy had to milk the cows until one day a large boat came in called the General Lee. On board there was a man called Joseph Hannibal. Billy decided to go with him to America. Everyone was horrified that he left. There was a storm that killed the cows. Laura found a washed up turtle and was determined to get it back to safety. She managed to save the turtle. Eventually Billy came back on a shipwreck called the Zanzibar.
