2 COMPASS - Multi Agency Hub Managing Initial Contacts and Referrals  Compass staff offer advise and consultation to partners in the identification and assessment of need from Early Help through to Child Protection.  3934 initial contacts managed year to date by compass team (EHSW/TYS/Camhs).  1491 referrals managed by senior social workers in Compass.  Referrals by Source  : 27% Schools : 24% Police : 10% Health : 39% combination of other sources  Referrals by Outcomes  50% S17 SWA : 31% S47 SWA : 11% NFA : 7% Early Help  Development of Compass as a multi agency Hub –  Professional Consultation following IC / Reducing repeat referrals / Increased referral to SWA conversions  NEW : Compass Information Leaflet for Parents  Further development : Domestic Violence Triage and Strategy Discussions

6 Social Work teams and Partners working Together  Increase in Team Managers and create smaller social work teams: improve management oversight and case progression  Separate assessment stage from delivery of CIN plans  Case Management Teams in locality areas – North, Central and South  Looked After Children with permanency care plans as LAC  Disabled Children and 16+/Care Leavers remaining county wide specialists  Ensure children are in the right process at the right time. Thresholds are not a process.  Evidence of support offer and significant harm is essential.
