2 WHY LAWSOFT? Most law firms in Zimbabwe have accounting systems in place used by their accounting departments and some of the established firms have Help Desk Systems used by their IT departments. However for most firms timesheets are done on paper, case files are stored on PCs in word, pdf or excel format and some rely on hard copy files which are usually kept in pigeon holes. This may make it difficult to look for files and may be inefficient in terms of extracting billable hours and other cost. LawSoft is a web-based system that comes as a solution through automating most of the activities of a Law firm. It enables lawyers to access their e-Library, do their timesheets documentation, set or receive reminders, access case files and create their to-do list online anywhere, anytime. Client Invoice bills are automatically generated, communication records can be traced and performance reports are generated by the system.

Documents are a few keystrokes out of reach. Case documents can be easily accessed, uploaded or downloaded from the system. Deadlines will be easier to track through the to- do list. SMS reminders are send when tasks are due.
