2 + Introduction The Benevolent Rulers are known to be: Idealistic Social Dreamers Our overriding goal is to solve the people problems of our world. We are social reformer who want everyone to be happy in a world that we can visualize. We are exceptionally perceptive about the woes and needs of humankind. We often have the understanding and skill to readily conceive and implement the solutions to our perceptions. On the positive side, we are creatively persuasive, charismatic and ideologically concerned. On the negative side, we may be unrealistically sentimental, scattered and impulsive, as well as deviously manipulative. Interestingly, our preference is just as applicable in today's corporate kingdoms.

3 + Direct Characterization Cook: - Ulcer on knee - Dresses like a chef

4 + Indirect Characterization Cook: - He is strong because he stood alone despite the ulcer on his knee - He was an excelled cook and baker. He could make boiling chicken with a marrow-bone, sharp- flavoring-powder which was spicy. He could roast, seethe, boil and fry, make good food and tasty pie.

5 + Skipper: - Wore a woolen gown - Wore a dagger on a lanyard hanging from his neck, under his arm and down - Tanned skin from the summer’s heat - Had a wild beard Direct Characterization

6 + Indirect Characterization Skipper - He is a pirate because he made people walk the plaque - He steals whine while the captain sleeps - Can’t ride a horse for the life of him - He is popular because he knows every sea, river, bay in England and knows all of Europe from Britain to Spain. - Familiar with all the western cost of Europe - He is wealthy, owning a barge named “The Maudelayme” - He has a sense of adventure because he knows every haven that exists. He travels a lot by sea.

7 + The Cook in the Future Owns an intercontinental 5 star restaurant with a bar and bakery Became a famous fortunato with incredibly good luck International wine taster Rich, having successes with his business Popular amongst people Walks with a cane due to the ulcer on his knee Met a woman that supported him in his business

8 + The Skipper in the Future He is wealthy, owning several ships Robs ships that import and export wine, he is over the law because of his connections with the queen. Takes horse-riding lessons Has a port in London named after him Has great relationships with the people and has strong contact with the Queen and Royal Family Has a strong personality, difficult to deceive He trimmed his beard

9 + Summary In our given part, we were assigned two characters from the story of “The Canterbury Tales.” The two characters are the cook and the skipper. The cook is the talented chef, baker, and wine taster. The skipper is the wealthy and merciless sailor and navigator. Both characters are successful in different aspects. They are both talented in their professions.

10 + Conclusion All in all, both characters, the cook and the skipper became incredibly successful and fortunate in the future. The characters are talented in different, unique ways. They excelled at what they did for a living. We can learn from them that we can achieve our goals and create our own destiny. Every person has their own, unique talent that they can practice for a living as a job or hobby.
