BACKGROUND ; The ILO is a specialised agency of the United Nation that deals with labour issues specially its objective is to promote opportunities for women and men to obtain decent and productive work in conditions of freedoms equity and security. Women in India have come out of homes and established an identity Of their own in different areas of work. Its main focus is on reducing

3. Inequality of any sort and thereby promoting a fair non discrimination and safe work place. In India women make up to 52% of our countries population. As they are overburden of family responsiblities lack of proper education social customs and rituals as they are not aware of their rights.Hence one has to be alert aware and educate. Justification: as being an active member of NWREU HMS its my first duty to educate and impart awareness. Thanks to HMS and NWREU who has already appreciated my plan and permission and sanctioned granted me for the same. Justification is being a women our goal should be the dejure and defacto enjoyment of human rights & all fundamental rights by women. Target groups & Parties involved : As employed in the organised sector I want to start with women in Railway first like gangwomen class 4 staff of roadside stations,booking clerks clerical women,reservation clerks,health assistants,nurses and matrons in hospitals.

4. We would like to call labour Commissioner for State,Labour Minister for State,Women police Commissioner, Advocates, Employers, General Sect HMS and one or two ILO Members if they please so. Supervisors controlling officers of staff and some laymen. Objectives 1. Increase general awareness and understanding of gender equality issues in the world of work & their fundamental Rights specially on social security systems to highlights decent work for women and men. 2. Promote and Advocate the ratification and application of key ILO gender equality labour Standards and overcoming the existing barriers to gender equality.

Subject for the activity will cover: 1.Maternity and work,no harmful work,leave income etc.,the minimum wages, regular pay, compensation overtime, equal pay, 2.The transparent remumeration system & the clear matching of pay & position are in place & help to prevent wage discrimination. 3.Sexual intimidation,training opportunities freedom to complain,freedom to join union and decent work compaign. ACTIVITIES 1.Campaign through posters signatures, pamplets, workshops training, on social security rights (DURATION WILL BE 6 MONTHS2 2.Holding competition programmes to spread awareness. By holding roadside drama shows specially in front of or industrial ares. 3. Rallys for the ratification of these rights.

AWARENESS on HIV AIDS through training & roadside shows & TV Shows, mass demonstration for womens empowerment.(My HMS and NWREU has already launched a signature poster campaign on female infoeticide poster campeign on Anti tobacco, Anti smoking etc.(Annexure 2) NWREU JAIPUR WOMEN COMMITTEE has already launched Health Checking Camp for women employee or housewives on Jan first week 2010. To the utmost 250 women has attended and it was highly applauded by HMS. Hence ILO is the flagship & light house for the trade union,guidelines in the implementation of the fundamentalcode conventions with new response new partnership to make Govt listten to silent voices of the millions of unorganised & normal sector in these days of recession and globization.

The proposal for the follow up work plan is enshrined herewith for your perusal & further action plans as HMS has planned to launch a nation wide campaign on “Ratification of the ILO Code convention 87 and 98 India is the first nation in the world to start it and HMS the first union to work on it, & propogate more & more work on Decent Work as to promotion of right to work, employment, social protection & social Dialogue as the basic requirment of Decent work should be to first ensure work to any potential workerer and then all other elements of the decent work concept will automatically follow to educate the women means to reach the height of you goal as in India Womens Reservation Policy Bill is however passed in the upper house of the parliament & lets make the Govt listen to silent voices of normal sectors.

8. I want to highlight through media also so that message should reach number of masses in the unorganised sectors. I would just need a proper fund and resourses and some material subject to the good support from Employer and Government and as such to reach the dimension of my goal to empower ensure awake proper and appropriate rights to the women as such because we are indebted to the women not only as she has given birth to us but as making that birth worthwhile.SUPPORT OF ILO AND ASSIATANCE AND GUIDELINES IS AWAITED.
