6. JACK O’CONNELL State Superintendent of Public Instruction 6 The purpose is to collect recommendations for the placement of cut scores. Cut scores determine performance levels (far below basic, below basic, basic, and advanced). Approval by the State Board of Education (SBE) is required.

7. JACK O’CONNELL State Superintendent of Public Instruction 7 Fall 2008: grades 3 – 5 –ELA –Mathematics –Science (grade 5 only) CMA cut scores were adopted by the SBE in November 2008. Results by performance level for these content areas and grade levels will be reported in 2009.

Results by performance level for these content areas and grade levels will be reported in 2009.
