7 Panorama and Community Cohesion How could you improve this answer with connectives and key words In the television documentary programme Panorama the issue of community cohesion in Blackburn Lancashire was examined. It was called ‘White Flight’. Community cohesion in Blackburn is not strong because Blackburn is a town in which is divided into two: the British white live in certain parts of town; British Asians (mainly Muslims) live in other parts. Some schools are predominantly white, others are mainly Asian. Immigrants from Pakistan and India came to Blackburn over 50 years ago but have not fully integrated into the town. Some younger Muslims are more religious than their parents whilst many English people are worried that their culture and way of life is being lost. Marriages between Christians and Muslims are very rare
