4. Academic Honesty Plagiarism is taking someone else’s ideas or words and presenting them as your own. Using another person’s work without giving them credit (directly quoting, paraphrasing, or borrowing ideas) is a serious offence. Plagiarism involves copying the work of another student, having someone at home write the assignment or alter your words, copying a published author’s text, ideas or argument, or paraphrasing without giving proper reference

Academic Honesty Students are also an accomplice in plagiarism and are equally guilty if they allow ideas, process work or finished product to be copied and submitted as the work of another, they prepare a written assignment for another student to submit or they possess a file or collection of papers with the intent that these will be distributed and shared for submission. Consequences for plagiarism may include one or more of the following: Redoing part or all of the assignment; Completing an alternate assignment; A loss of marks; A mark of zero; Suspension.

6. Safe School Every student at RCBHS has the right to attend school in an atmosphere that is safe, comfortable and inviting. There is zero tolerance towards harassment, bullying, intimidation, name calling, fighting, and possession of weapons, dangerous horse play or being under the influence or in possession of drugs or alcohol. A “hands off” policy will be enforced at all times.
