Animal Facts Description Adult pandas are about 6ft (180 cm.) tall. Pandas can weigh up to 200 (91kg.) pounds. A panda does not have scales or hair, but has black and white fur. A panda is white with black eye patches, ears, legs, feet, chests and shoulders. A pic showing your animal. Movement A panda moves by walking, crawling and surprisingly, they are very good at climbing, also. Something interesting about it’s movement is that they are very clumsy. Because their back feet lack the heel pads found on other bears, the way they walk is sort of funny. Diet A panda is a omnivore.99% of their diet is bamboo shoots and leaves.1% of their diet is fish and some other small animals, but their main diet is bamboo shoots and leaves.

Habitat Pandas live on the eastern edge of the Tibetan Plateau in China. A pandas habitat is a green and forest type of habitat. Adaptations on a panda is it’s warm fur to last the Winter, since they don’t hibernate. Also they live on the mountains, near the wind, so it gets colder than the land below the mountains. Unfortunately, pandas habitat is getting destroyed, so pandas are becoming extinct. Map showing where your animal lives Picture showing your animal in its habitat.

Life Cycle A panda’s baby is not born from eggs, but is born from live birth. Panda babies are born one at a time. An adult panda is pregnant for 3 to 6 months before she has the baby. The mom takes care of the baby until the baby is about two years old. Panda babies look bald and pink and sort of creepy. A picture of the animal as a baby or young. A picture of the animal as a grown/ mature animal. Adult pandas live by themselves. They do not live in groups. They look like furry black and white bears. Pandas can live up to 30 years in zoos, and 25 years in the wild.

Animal Interactions A panda protects itself by running, climbing, or attacking. Pandas communicate by huffing, snorting, barking, yipping, grunting, and squealing. Write a caption for your picture explaining how animal protects itself Pic of animal adaptation that allows it to protect itself Pandas do not have predators, but has to save it’s babies from their predators, but humans are sort of a pandas predator, because they destroy a panda’s habitat, that’s why they are endangered. Picture of a lumberjack destroying a panda’s habitat.

Interesting Facts Pandas got money The panda is depicted on some Chinese coins. A pic to accompany fact #1 Panda in Chinese The Chinese word for panda is daxiongmao. On a elevator Pandas don’t hibernate, they simply travel lower than where they live on the mountains, because it gets colder on the mountains than the land below. A pic to accompany fact #2
