5 Developing a rough layout Second, choose one thumbnail sketch to develop into a notepad. Next, take the thumbnail sketch to a client (i.e. the teacher) to choose the sketch you will develop. 6 Developing a final layout Third, take your rough layout and use your software to develop your final layout so that it resembles how your printout should look. 7 Creating a master ● Fourth, print your first copy on the printer and have someone proof it for errors. ● If everything is ok, you have a master layout and are ready to print copies. 8 Print time Now you know the steps needed to create a 4-up layout. And last, it's print time once any needed revisions are made. Print enough copies of your master layout to create your notepad. 9 Final Cuts Cut the Final 4-up print to create the individual pages of the notepad.
