4 Additional On-Campus Training Introduction to Online Teaching and Learning, 5/1/09, 11am – 1pm This workshop is designed for those looking for an introduction to the rapidly growing world of online education. The fundamentals of online teaching and learning will be addressed, including the technical tools and teaching skills needed to succeed. Introduction to Web 2.0 Technologies, 5/1/09, 2pm – 4pm “Web 2.0” is the term used to describe new uses of the World Wide Web which enhance creativity, information sharing, and collaboration. This workshop will introduce you to the most popular Web 2.0 technologies, including Podcasting, ePortfolios, Blogs, Wikis, and Social Networking sites. Introduction to ETUDES Online CMS, 5/6/09, 3pm – 5pm This workshop introduces you to the ETUDES Course Management System used by WLAC for online course delivery. This orientation positions you to successfully complete the ETUDES Instructor Certification course (EDUC 210) required to teach online or Weekend College courses.
