2 Archaeological Evidence  Cro-Magnon, Neanderthal, Early Homo Sapiens created early weapons of stone, and military organization centered around hunting strategies.  First war between modern man over hunting territory, women, religious  Early warfare small scale.

3 Warfare – Organization, teamwork,& discipline – Weapons Long Intermediate Short

4 Warfare Continued  Tactics-deals with the plan before and in the battle.  Strategy-purpose for fighting the battle or war.  Logistics-beans, bullets, ect. Need to get your resources in the right place at the right time. “Amateurs study tactics, Masters study logistics” Without supplies your army will be ineffective.

5 Offense – Defense Inventive Cycle – If your build a better shield to protect yourself what will your opponent do to kill you? Examples

6 Mobility, Security, Firepower  Mobility – more mobile with no armor but are you secure?  Security – soldiers with heavy armor more secure but less mobile with less firepower  Firepower – more weapons the less mobile and less armor.  Goal is to create a balance.  Or create mutually supporting arms. Specialization of military tasks. Examples?
