2. Registering for bus service with LCPS will be a ONE-TIME process for students, as long as a student is attending school. The current school year (2015-2016) bus registration information in Synergy will be used for this process. Students who filled out a bus registration form this current school year, and anytime thereafter, will not need to re-register UNLESS they change addresses or schools. All students currently in Synergy as registered riders will automatically roll over to each new school year.

3. Beginning in the 2016-2017 school year, only those students who are new to the school district (i.e. kindergarten/transfers) will need to fill out a bus registration form at their own school campus when registering. All campuses will be provided with registration forms. Completed forms are to be put in the school mail and sent to the Transportation Office.

4. ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS ONLY: Parents may fill out the Parent Letter or the Kinder/Sibling Letter during Kinder registration, so that these services can start on the very first day of school. All new preregistered students who qualify for bus transportation will be assigned a bus number, bus stop, and pick up and drop off time prior to the start of the school year. Also, beginning in 2016-2017 all student transportation information will be available in Synergy and ParentVUE. Synergy will be uploading all student information to the transportation software and the transportation software will be uploading current bus information for each student into Synergy daily.

5. No more mass bus registration at the beginning of the school year. All bus drivers will have a roster of registered bus riders for their bus, by bus stop, on the first day of classes. This new bus registration process will allow STS-NM and LCPS to project bus riders and number of buses needed for the upcoming school year. Parents will now be able to get bus information at their child’s home campus and/or ParentVUE at any time.
