Skyward – First Student Bus Form Step 1 (School office) Parent completes the First Student bus request form for their child. The school office staff enters the bus data in the Skyward – Bus Screen. The bus request form is faxed to transportation only if the student is attending the Alternative Education Program at ORHS. School office staff archives all bus request forms for future reference.
Skyward – Bus Screen Step 2 (School office) Student Transportation This field is completed when the school receives the First Student Bus form from the parent. Please see next slide for more information regarding Step 2.
Skyward - Student Transportation Section If the student has an entry for 08-09, edit that entry and add an end date before you add a start date for this school year. Example: Highlight the 8/11/08 entry and click edit. Enter a check mark in the box for Add an End Date and then enter the end date. If the student was enrolled on the last day of 08-09 the end date would be the following day 6/5/09 or WB&PS 6/8/09. Click OK and then Add the new entry for 09-10. The mileage can wait until you receive a report from Transportation but it will need to be completed.
Skyward – Bus Screen Step 3 (School office) Pick Up and Drop Off These fields are completed only when the address is not the home address. Please see next slide for more information regarding Step 3.
Pick Up Address and Drop Off Address To REMOVE an address: Click Edit next to PM Bus Number (view on previous slide) Click on the Address Button (left view) Click on NoAddr (right view) To ADD an address: Follow the first two steps In Data mining: All Reports - Clone report RMS-Bus Information to print all.
Skyward and Versatrans Step 4 Skyward data is uploaded to Versatrans over night.
Versatrans - Adjusting the Bus Route Step 5 (Transportation) The bus route is adjusted to include the new student. This requires that all families on the route be notified of the time adjustment. This process can take up to three school days.
Versatrans - Bus Numbers Step 6 (Transportation) Transportation prints out the students information including the bus numbers and miles. This printout is faxed to the school within 3 days.
Skyward – Bus Numbers and Miles Step 7 (School office) Office staff receives the fax from transportation with bus numbers and miles. This information is entered into Skyward for state reporting.
