The main reason that Governments are unable to clean their patch is to do with cost of operations. RIVER FACTS: Yet, rivers are the lifeblood of centered communities. This state of the art vessel is designed to operate cost effectively, without using the fossil fuels that contribute to global warming from NOx emissions – eliminating dirty (sooty) diesel fuels from the equation.

Workboats such as that seen above rely on diesel engines to recover waste – meaning that we are paying again in NOx emissions (smog) to clean up the mess we have made. Traditional designs cannot recover macro or micro particles.

Featuring a giant 13.5 meter (44ft) collection head and multiple treatment stages.

6. http://www.bluebird-electric.net RiverVax is an entirely new concept designed to deal with soups and solids. The hull is made of a tough alloy, resistant to everyday bumps. Solar panels track the sun for free energy. Wind turbines track the wind for more free energy. Around 84kW may be harvested in ideal conditions using these systems. 7. LOCAL PARTNERSHIPS The aim is to be able to produce RiverVax ™ boats in partnership with the appropriate geographical administration - creating jobs locally. The RiverVax ™ design is currently the world's largest waterborne vacuum cleaner. The time to produce the prototype is estimated to be around 12-18 months from receipt of a confirmed contract order. While the cost of development models might be higher, mass production should slash operational costs, bringing down the cost of individual vessels to meet with our original target price of £ 3-5 million pounds per unit. Once we have achieved that, cleanup operations become more attractive in terms of healthier food stocks for the world population. The objective is to reduce the break even point in terms of operational investment so that RiverVax ™ boats are more attractive to waste contractors.
