3. 3 Mission “To promote cooperation among the accreditation bodies and interested parties in the Americas, aiming at the development of Conformity Assessment Structures to achieve the improvement of products, processes and services provided to consumers using internationally recognized mechanisms and reference documents.” IAAC Business Plan 1999 / 2000

4. 4 IAAC Strategies Disseminate the importance of accreditation and promote the IAAC in the Americas. Establish a regional multilateral recognition agreement (MRA). Secure additional financial support from national, regional, and international agencies. Maintain all IAAC documentation and relevant international documentation in the languages of the member countries. Support technical competence in conformity assessment activities conducted by member bodies through technical assistance and training.
