5 As 10 th graders, you will be taking the PSAT which stands for “Preliminary SAT.” The purpose of this rigorous, timed exam is to determine where you stand with college readiness for Reading, Writing, and Math. If your scores are high enough, you could be selected as a candidate for review of the National Merit Scholarship program.

14  Students select courses from the curriculum of each of the above named Endorsements and earns credit in a variety of advanced courses for multiple content areas sufficient to complete the Distinguished Level of Achievement (DLA).

15  Ensure your Endorsement matches your Career Plan  List all of your current courses are you taking this year in 9 th grade, both the fall and the spring semesters  Following the course sequences for your Graduation Endorsement, choose your core classes and electives for next year

16  If you have failed a course from last semester, do not place credit recovery on your schedule in lieu of electives. Counselors will schedule you into credit recovery programs such as Star Lab, Summer School, and CBE (credit by exam).  If you made in 60 range first semester for a class you are currently taking, you could score high enough this semester to have it average to full credit.
