2 Our mission is to empower the homeless with the vacant lots for urban farming movement. Within Baltimore City we seek to increase the accessibility of fresh produce as well as provide a service to the homeless through the establishment of more urban farms within the food deserts. With the help of shelter administrators, the homeless have the potential to provide for the local community while receiving guidance, education, and work force training through employment at future urban farms, which would be little to no cost for the taxpayer.
