5. Germany Germany is ranked as the fourth largest economy in the world.
This shows that Germany’s citizens are relatively wealthy compared to other countries around the world.

Because they are surrounded by land, they export several products around the world by railroad and by highways
Because they export a lot by railroad and highways, Germany has an excellent highway and railway system.

One of their main natural resources are coal!

Germany has a high population to work in factories. Because of this, they are able to make several different products and finished goods.
The creating and selling of finished goods is called manufacturing.

This means that they make goods and sell them.

This makes it difficult to trade by land such as railroads and trucks.

A piece of land that juts out into the ocean, like Italy, is called and peninsula.
