2  22 YEAR OLD FEMALE  Pt of WODHULL HOSPITAL  IN SITU and Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (Grade 3)

3  Lump discovered 3 years ago  Both grandfathers were diagnosed with pancreatic and thyroid carcinoma.

4  Being in the original position  An early stage cancer in which the cancerous growth or tumor is still confined to the site from which it started, and has not spread to surrounding tissue or other organs in the body.

5  Invasive ductal carcinoma is the most common invasive breast cancer.  It is also known as A. (IDC) Infiltrating ductal carcinoma B. (NST) carcinoma of No Special Type C. (NOS) or Not Otherwise Specified  IDC starts in the breast’s milk ducts and invades surrounding breast tissue.  IDC represents 65 to 85 percent of all cases

6  This patient visited the hospital with a chief complaint of pain in the breast which was not related to her menses.

10  PCP examination of the breast  MAMOGRAM  A BIOPSY  Modified Radical Mastectomy (MRM)

11  A lump was noted in 9’ o clock position

14 AKA MRM Breast, Axillary lymph nodes, and pectoralis minor

15 Breast cancer ranges from stages 0-4. 3B - Tumor could be any size and cancer has spread to the chest wall or any connecting tissue as well as the axillary lymph nodes. 3C – Operable – Cancer has spread to 10 or more axillary lymph nodes or it has been found in lymph nodes below the collar bone. 3C- Inoperable – has spread to lymph nodes above the collar bone. Stage 4 – Cancer has spread to other organs of the body, mostly the bones, lungs, liver or brain.

16 Sadly, the last visit reported was Friday October 29 th which ended the testing and treatment for this patient at Woodhull hosp.
