23. Bridge Summary Bridge perspectives Next versions of GOS and GRIA will reflect Bridge results. Show case application scenarios have shown potential for real-world applications. Partners in Europe and China have build up trust and confidence. They plan to intensify their cooperation in Grid Technology in the future.

24. Bridge Summary Bridge perspectives A two years project was a good start. Cooperation between Europe and China shows large potentials. It needs sustained efforts from both sides. Europe and China have to be ready to take advantage of rising opportinities.

25. Stressing the importance for LMS/NOESIS of an EU-China cooperation program. These cooperation activities, independently from the results that can be achieved within the project framework, did achieve a significant result: establishing a strong and durable relationship between two important research contexts. This aspect is not less important than the results that are foreseen in the DOW of the BRIDGE project.

These relations, in fact, constitute the basis for strong future cooperation opportunities, which LMS/NOESIS doesn't want to miss, mainly for two reasons: 1) technological cross fertilization, by finding synergies in many technological areas in engineering disciplines and 2) advancing technology with original and innovative research experiences, by the means of research projects targeted at cooperation for innovation.

With this spirit, LMS/NOESIS seeks opportunities to hold a good relation with our Chinese partners in the coming years so that the two above mentioned objectives can be fulfilled in the coming years. The directions we might take together can be multiple and not only limited to ICT. However, within the ICT context, Software as a Service (SaaS) and distributed computing for highly intensive engineering multi-disciplinary problems are topics that well fit the research roadmap that LMS/NOESIS wants to realize on the short and medium term.

28. Bridge Summary Latest news The technologies and platform developed by Bridge are partly adopted by a grid application on drug discovery supported by the 863 program. Chinese's aviation industry, AVIC, has purchased the meta-modeling software from SCAI as a result of Bridge experience, a training will be arranged soon

29. Bridge Summary Latest news The SIMM, Bridge partner, is applying a grand project of China in new drug discovery. The platform and technologies developed in Bridge will be used in that proposed project JSI is applying a data-driven cross domain sharing and coordination platform project from China‘s 863 program, the aerospace application partly developed by Bridge is the application of that proposal. The initial evaluation is positive.
