16 Publicity and developing operation/business model: WP5  Content partners + MDR to organise National Meetings (1 each country) between May 10 and April 11  MDR to collate and synthesise the outcomes of these meetings to asses the situation and identify any barriers to continued expansion of content providers to Europeana by May 11  MDR to maintain a register of content providers and aggregators who want to join Europeana and assist EDL in prioritising and managing applications  EDLocal website and newsletter to advocate further digitisation and point to best practice  MDR to monitor best practice and produce guidance by April 10 in time for 1 st National Meeting

17 Publicity and developing operation/business model: WP5  MDR to set up EDLocal website, news, distribution facilities and content management system by Jul 08  MDR to lead development of very wide stakeholder database (1000 people by Jul 08, 5000+ by May 11)  MDR to produce EDLocal Newsletter 3 times a year  MDR to lead discussions with EDL Foundation to establish easy procedures for new content providers to join  EDL consortium to agree ongoing basis for participation in Europeana governance procedures  Content partners + MDR to agree framework and processes for aggregation in their country

18 Evaluation & progress monitoring (Operation of the project: WP6)  ABM to convene and lead a Performance Monitoring Working Group (Sogn og Fjordane, MDR, EDL, technical partner, 3+ content partners). Sept 09 –  Working group to design a schema of targets and measurement mechanisms by Oct 09.  Working Group to establish procedures for monitoring number of content items harvested from EDLocal sources – to assist in meeting our targets  MDR to monitor and report on overall progress and initiate remedial actions as required  ABM, MDR to design and conduct impact survey of 50%+ of content providers/aggregators (Dec 10 – Mar 11)

19 Project management (Operation of the project: WP1)  MDR + Sogn og Fjordane  Set up communication + distribution channels  Organise regular Project Management Board Meetings  Organise kick-off and mid-term meetings  Provide periodic management and progress reports to the Commission  Manage the budget, submit cost claims, pay partners  Compile final public report  Quality assure deliverables  Monitor and chase to keep to deadlines
