ENTRANCE SYSTEMS CORAL WELCOME & DUO

INTRODUCTION  A good quality entrance system provides a very effective way to reduce cleaning costs, preventing unnecessary repair and ensuring ease of maintenance  By stopping up to 94% of walked-in dirt and moisture, Coral can reduce cleaning costs by up to 65% and prolong the life of interior floor finishes and coverings  It also prevents the floor from becoming slippery and hazardous

CORAL WELCOME  With its contemporary linear design and rich, deep pile, Coral Welcome entrance floor incorporates both the style and aesthetic appeal of a luxury carpet  It makes an unequivocal statement in any entrance area combining aesthetics with environmental properties

CORAL DUO  Coral Duo provides unrivalled dirt removal and is particularly effective at trapping and retaining soil and moisture in the first few steps inside an entrance area  In fact, research shows that Coral Duo retains 10% more dirt in the first few meters than any other textile entrance flooring system, which also makes it an ideal choice for smaller entrances.

BENEFITS  Keeps out moisture and dirt  Suitable for the toughest commercial use  Ideal for interior entrance and circulation areas  Complies with the highest fire class standard: Bfl-s1 according to EN 13501-1 CORAL WELCOME & DUO_

BENEFITS  The only entrance floor in the world with an environmental BRE A+ rating CORAL WELCOME_

BENEFITS  For areas where there is a greater risk of fire, Coral Duo can be supplied with a fire retardant latex backing CORAL DUO_

INSTALLATION  Coral Entrance Systems should be installed in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations  Sub-floors must be smooth, hard, clean, and dry before laying commences  Uneven, solid or suspended timber floors may need preparation to meet the required standard  Store rolls of Coral Entrance Systems sheeting standing on end and acclimate material for 24 hours in a uniform room temperature between 18°C and 27°C prior to installation. All sub- floors must be tested for moisture content prior to installation  Use FloorworX No. 71 contact adhesive

 Be aware that the direction in which Coral Entrance System is manufactured, is NOT the traffic direction, so Coral Entrance Systems must be installed with the ribs at right angles to the direction of traffic  DO NOT REVERSE sheets for seaming.  Smooth the seams  Note: Do not use a stretcher or knee kicker on Coral Entrance Systems. Trim the excess material at doorways and walls using a carpet knife or edge trimmer with a hooked blade, and use a bolster to press the Coral firmly into the adhesive after trimming. INSTALLATION

 Supply and fix approximately 9.0mm thick x 2.0m wide Coral Welcome/Duo polyamide fibre- based entrance matting system, manufactured in accordance with EN14041, with sheets cut and joined as per manufacturer’s instruction to fit the required space  It is recommended that the mat be countersunk in a purpose-designed mat-well, adhered using FloorworX No. 71 contact adhesive, but mats may also be surface mounted after being edged as per the manufacturer’s instructions SUGGESTED SPECIFICATION

 FloorworX offers a 5 year limited warranty, subject to our terms and conditions, against defective material provided that it is installed and maintained in accordance with our recommendations WARRANTY

 Approximately 80% of the dirt and soiling that has to be cleaned off a floor has been trafficked in from outside the building  More than 90% of that soiling can be avoided by the use of an effective entrance matting system. When less dirt is trafficked through the entrance there will be a reduction in maintenance requirements  Regular cleaning is more cost-effective and hygienic than occasional heavy-duty cleaning  Wipe up any grease and oil spills immediately and treat stains as soon as they are observed  Black rubber wheels and rubber furniture feet can discolour the floorcovering. Hard plastic is preferred.  Always follow the manufacturer’s dosage instructions regarding the use of cleaning chemicals. MAINTENANCE PREVENTIVE_

 Floor maintenance begins immediately after the completion of installation  The initial step is to remove any loose dirt or debris using a dry mop, broom or vacuum  Sand, construction debris and sharp-edged objects may result in irreparable damage being inflicted to the new floor  Remove any visible adhesive residue using a damp cloth. Once the adhesive has cured it will be difficult to remove  If other trades are working in the building after the installation of the flooring, the floor must be protected from subsequent damage by the use of thick paper, cardboard or hard board  No wet maintenance must take place until 72 hours (3 days) have elapsed from the time of installation (this is to ensure that the adhesive has sufficient time to cure properly and develop full bond strength) MAINTENANCE POST-INSTALLATION SITE CLEAN_

 It is essential to remove dry soiling at least once a day  The most effective method is to use vacuum cleaners that incorporate a mechanically driven rotating brush or suction-only machines with a rotating brush attachment  Vacuum slowly and in all directions across the matting, to get the full effect of the combined suction and brushing MAINTENANCE INITIAL CLEAN_

 Gently clear away the spillage from the surface with a blunt scraper. Treat what is left of the spillage with a proprietary carpet spot cleaner (for polyamide pile floorcoverings)  Rinse with clean water  Allow to dry  High traffic areas need additional attention, to remove concentrated surface soiling and reduce the appearance of “traffic lanes” MAINTENANCE REGULAR CLEANING_SPOT CLEANING

 This method uses a moist compound that is impregnated with water, detergent and safe-to-use solvents MAINTENANCE REGULAR CLEANING_DRY EXTRACTION REGULAR CLEANING_CYLINDRICAL BRUSH EXTRACTION  This method also uses machines with counter-rotating brushes, but this time a proprietary carpet cleaning solution is brushed into the pile and the dirty water returned straight to the machine  When it is a loose lay matting, whipping it regularly is important

 At intervals, the matting should be treated with a deeper cleaning process called “spray extraction” - this removes soiling from the base of the pile and restores the surface texture to optimise its “clean-off” performance  Factors like the type and amount of traffic, as well as the effectiveness of “Initial cleaning” and “Regular cleaning” will govern how often this deep cleaning is needed  This process can be carried out using either a spray extraction machine or a 3-in-1 spray and brush machine  When wet cleaning is not possible, a powder cleaning is the best solution  When it is a loose lay matting, you should spray the matt now and then with a water hose and if necessary brush it clean MAINTENANCE PERIODIC MAINTENANCE_
