5. DAY TO DAY ITINERARY SPECIALLY PREPARED FOR Day 2 Cochin: Morning proceed for a guided city tour of Cochin. Cochin is the natural harbour created by the famed underwater Malabar mud-banks whose quality ensures that the rougher the seas are outside the calmer the waters are within the harbour. Vasco-de-Gama placed it on the world map. It has a Jewish synagogue, Portuguese churches, mosques & Hindu temples. Watch the Chinese Fishing Nets. Overnight stay at the hotel. Day 1 Arrive Cochin: Assistance on arrival at Cochin airport and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. In the evening witness the Kathakali (Dance) Show [{*Famous traditional art of Kerala*}].

Day 03: Cochin / Periyar: Morning drive to Periyar, nestled in spice and rubber plantations, known to be Kerala's pride and testimony to nature's splendor, Periyar has a lot to offer in terms of wildlife. Set high on the Western Ghats is the famous Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary and Reserve Set up in 1934, it extends to 777 square km. Periyar is famous for its rare habitat of birds and animals and is one of the most popular destination for nature lovers. Amongst the animals which can be seen are elephants, wild boar, sambar, tiger, leopard, wild dog, langur monkeys, etc. Wild life can be seen while cruising on Periyar Lake in a motorboat. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

7. Day 05: Kumarakom: In the morning proceed for a day cruise by house boat with lunch on the backwater of Kerala. Hear the soothing sound of water rippling alongside your houseboat, as you drift on a backwater. Feel completely relaxed as you enter a world of serenity and natural beauty in Kerala. See the green countryside, swaying palm trees, emerald rice fields and children waving from the banks of the backwaters of Kerala, as you sail on traditional Ketuvalloms or houseboats, on a backwater. Later in the afternoon back to hotel. Overnight at the hotel. Day 04: Periyar / Kumarakom: Morning at leisure to walk through the sanctuary. Drive to Kumarakom, upon arrival check into hotel. Afternoon is at leisure, optional visit to Bird Sanctuary, walk thru the country side of Kerala or Ayurveda Massages etc overnight at hotel.

8. Day 06: Kumarakom / Kovalam: Morning drive to Kovalam, on arrival check into beach resort. Evening at leisure, Overnight at the beach resort. Day 07: Kovalam: Morning proceed for a sight seeing tour of Trivandrum. The city gets its name from the word, Thiruvananthapuram, meaning the city of Anantha or the abode of the sacred Serpent Anantha on which Lord Vishnu, the preserver of the Hindu trinity, reclines. Trivandrum, the capital of the state of Kerala is a beautiful seaside city built on seven hills. The famous Sri. Padmanabha Swami Temple is dedicated to Vishnu and is a landmark in the city. Also visit Kenyan Kumari (Cape Comorin) – the end point of the Indian Peninsula where the three seas Bay of Bengal, Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean meet, to view the spectacular sunset. Overnight at the hotel.

9. Day 08: Kovalam: Day at leisure, you can enjoy the Ayurveda Therapy or other leisure activities on the hotel or beach. Overnight at the beach resort. Day 09: Kovalam / Trivandrum Departure: Assistance on departure at hotel and transfer to Airport to board flight for onward destination. (*End of the services*)
