2 Why Support A Community Garden? A community garden will provide fresh, affordable, pesticide-free produce to our community food bank. It will connect our community’s children to nature. A garden will add beauty, inspiration and serenity to the community. It will encourage participation in outdoor physical activity. A community garden will reduce barriers to gardening by providing support and knowledge to those unfamiliar as well as decrease barriers to accessing healthy food. It will encourage local biodiversity and contribute to a healthy ecosystem. It will create a community hub that welcomes persons of all ages, stages and abilities.

3 Dare to dream green…. Our Vision To cultivate a community group invested in growing fresh produce for the marginalized citizens who access the local and surrounding food banks. Empower all of Langdon’s citizens to participate in healthier, more socially responsible community activities. Our Mission To promote the coming together of Langdon’s citizens with a common purpose of nurturing, developing and sustaining a growing space in our community. The Langdon Community Garden will reflect the area it serves; engaging, educating, building and strengthening the community in a significant way.

4 The Community Garden will consist of 6 – Raised food bank gardens (6’x24’) with food grown dedicated solely for our local and surrounding food banks 20 – Raised garden plots (6’x12’) for lease by the community. Children’s garden and learning space with 6 large plots for planting Teen garden with 10 round plots for planting 2 Wheelchair accessible, and 4 raised plots for persons with disabilities or mobility challenges. Tasting garden Composting area Water tanks Shed with tools Perennial beds Pathways Arbor’s and a future pergola Solar lighting Seating areas and many more features

6 Sponsorship Opportunities Plant the Seed A donation of $200.00 or less Your family name will be displayed through the Langdon’s Legacy project Your contribution will provide funding toward seeds, soil, gardening tools and supplies Bountiful Harvest A donation of $600.00 will provide funding to build garden plots for our local foodbanks Your company or family name will be displayed on the raised garden bed An invitation to garden activities and events A Garden for All A donation of $1000.00 will provide funding to create a barrier free garden Your company or family name will be displayed on a raised garden plot An invitation to garden activities and events Down the Garden Path Your contribution of $2500.00 will provide funding to create pathways through our garden A pathway will bear your company name Your company name will appear on all promotional material and mentioned in media articles An invitation to garden activities and events

Child’s Play A donation of $2500.00 will offer children in our community a hands on opportunity to garden Your company logo will be prominent in the children’s garden Your company name will appear on all promotional material and mentioned in media articles An invitation to garden activities and events Teen’s Dig It A donation of $2500.00 will offer teens in our community a hands on opportunity to garden Your company logo will be prominent in the teen garden Your company name will appear on all promotional material and mentioned in media articles An invitation to garden activities and events In Bloom Your contribution of $2500.00 will provide funding to create a perennial garden Your company logo will be prominent in the perennial garden Your company name will appear on all promotional material and mentioned in media articles An invitation to garden activities and events

8 The Langdon Community Garden will be situated on 0.5 acres, in Langdon Park which is a highly utilized space by the community. Your sponsorship will be featured for a minimum of three years, and can be renewed with a minimal yearly donation thereafter.
