3 Paying the Bill – Financial Aid Have you completed all of your Outstanding Financial Aid Requirements? If yes - aid will be reflected on the first billing statement and will be disbursed to your student account the week before classes. If aid is not reflected on the first billing statement – then something still needs to be completed with financial aid. Contact Service EMU.

4 Calculating Costs Personalize your estimated direct costs with the EMU Financial Planning Guide If your financial aid is greater than your estimated costs, you may be eligible for a refund If your financial aid is less than your estimated costs, you will owe the remaining balance

7 Fall Electronic Billing Statement Students will receive an e-mail to their Eastern E-mail Account early August to check E-bill website Fall 2016 Bill Due Date: Sometime in August

8 Financial Responsibility When registering for class today you agree to the Financial Responsibilities agreement. The classes you registered for today will be billed to you in full unless you withdrawal from them via the my.emich portal or by calling the Records and Registration Office.

9 EAGLE ONECARD The Eagle OneCard is: The Official University ID Card. Not a credit card. The card that gives access to student privileges. The way to access any university refund and student payroll.

10 Your photo will be taken during today’s orientation. The Eagle OneCard will be mailed to your home address in this green envelope. You must activate your card online. GETTING THE EAGLE ONECARD

12 REFUNDS AND STUDENT PAYROLL When you activate your card you will choose your refund/payroll preference Deposit into the OneAccount OneAccount is an online checking/debit account with Higher One OneAccount is accessed through the Eagle OneCard OneAccount does not create a credit account Deposit into an Outside Bank Continue use of your outside checking/savings account as usual

13 REFUNDS/STUDENT PAYROLL Funds will be sent via Higher One to the preference you have chosen. You will receive an email or text message when funds has been sent to Higher One. Refunds begin prior to the semester.

14 PARKING ResidentCommuter Fall/Winter SemesterPer Semester q Current Price $200 Current Price $100 Student parking hang tags will be available for purchase via the parking website at the end of July. www.emich.edu/parking

15 PARKING Hourly parking is available in designated lots for visitors and commuters. Overnight parking is for residents only with a resident hang tag. All over night visitors must purchase a overnight pass at the Parking Department or the Department of Public Safety Service Window. Free parking for commuters at the Rynearson Lot with a shuttle to main campus. Currently we sell discounted AAATA bus passes.
