Do you have a team contact list? Is it up to date? Do your staff know how to get hold of you out of office hours? What will 12% absence look like in your team? Do you know what care responsibilities members of your team have? Have you thought about how you will manage staff absence due to these commitments? Can critical work be covered by others in the event of staff absence?

What can wait? Do you and your staff know your BC plan? What if you get swine flu. If you are not there, who'll implement your plan? Who else do you rely upon to deliver your service? Who are your key suppliers? Are you confident that they have arrangements in place? Have you asked? Have you got a back up supplier, should your supplier of choice fall down because of swine flu?

Have you identified from within your directorate staff to assist your team to maintain essential services? Have you identified key dates for completion of any statutory or legal requirements? If you intend to prioritise services and defer others have you informed key partners? Do you know who your directorate representative on the Swine Flu Management Group is?
