2 Creating Your First Resume It doesn’t need to cover your life history It just has to grab the interest of the reader and answer the question: “will this candidate add value to my company?” The goal of a resume is to generate interest and interviews. To be effective, your resume’ must clearly communicate your strengths.

5 Cover Letter Body Paragraph 1: Explain to the reader in an interesting way, why you are writing to them. Tell them why you’re a good fit for the job What you like or know about their company, and how you can meet their needs. Body Paragraph 2: List your unique qualifications for the position. Feel free to use bullet points to highlight your skills or accomplishments. Body Paragraph 3: Direct the reader to your enclosed resume’. Follow with your availability for an interview. Thank them for their time Once again, give your contact information: phone number and email.

7 Job Lead Scenario Logan was eating dinner with his family at the new restaurant, FaRmInGdaLeRs. While there, he noticed that a player, Josh, from his lacrosse team was clearing the tables. Logan mentioned to his parents that he was interested in getting a part time job to earn money, and they suggested he talk to Josh. Josh told Logan that the restaurant was still hiring and took him to meet the owner Mr. James. Mr. James gave him a job application and told him to complete it and return it with his resume’ and cover letter.
