13 KPIT Cummins Confidential - Version 1.0 Case : Handler Development Project scope Handler Development Outline The purpose of this project was to study ISO 15031-5 and to gather project specific detailed requirements, design and develop a generic Emission related Diagnostic software Requirement Gathering & study ISO 15031-5 Diagnostics services were developed in Diagnostics Kernel Integration with the OBD II Emission related Diagnostic services Functional & Unit test Features:  Application independent Emission related Diagnostic software, which communicates on CAN bus  OBD II Handler uses Volcano driver to communicate on CAN network to transfer information from an ECU to an off-board Tester and vice-versa  The information transferred consists of emission related data used in performing ECU diagnostics Development Platform Motorola STAR12 controller.
