4 Caserta province is situated in North-East of Campania region The province of Caserta has an area of ​​ approximately 2.639 square kilometers, with a population 920.560 The density of population is 348.83 inhabitants / km ²

5 City of Caserta The city of Caserta has 78.693 inhabitants, a density per square 1.459,7 kilometers and a surface area square 53.91 kilometers. It is situated in the plain bell at sixty meters above sea level, at the foot of Mount Tifata. Caserta is the most important town in the area called “Terra di lavoro” (Earth of work). The province is washed by the Tyrrhenian Sea between the Patria lake to the south and the mouth of the Garigliano River to the north. 7 Royal Palace of Caserta The Royal Palace of Caserta, UNESCO World Heritage Site, was built by the will of King Charles III of Bourbon in 1752-74 by the architect Luigi Vanvitelli and his son Charles. The residence is composed of the Royal Palace, which includes a Royal Theater, a Royal Chapel and a large 120- hectare park with beautiful fountains and gardens, including the beautiful English garden.

10 The village of Casertavecchia The village of Casertavecchia (Old Caserta) was born in 861 in Lombard times. Over time, after the construction of a castle-fortress, the village under the influence of different populations: Norman, Swabian, Arab and Puglia, grew by acquiring additional fortifications, churches and towers. By the first Saracen raids of VIII and IX century was transferred there Casertavecchia bishopric and became a religious citadel.

11 The Bridges of the Valley The Bridges of the Valley or The aqueduct Carolino is a daring feat of engineering and style made ​​ between 1753 and 1755, protected by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The construction of an aqueduct that brought water from the springs of Fizzo to the waterways of the Royal Palace of Caserta, was an extraordinary technical achievement that gave further fame architect Luigi Vanvitelli. The aqueduct brought water also in Sant'Agata dei Goti, San Leucio and the mills, the pools, the fountains and fish ponds, gardens and water systems of the entire Royal Palace and the city of Caserta.
