1 Intervention/Innovation Method Paul Schoonover EDU 671 Kathleen Lunsford June 12, 2014

2 Area of Focus The purpose of this study if to determine how positive reinforcement will affect the behavior of students in the classroom. This should also determine if positive reinforcement in the classroom benefits students learning and grades in the classroom.

3 Research Questions How does positive reinforcement affect the disruption of the classroom-learning environment? How does the use of positive reinforcement affect the learning and academic progress of students?

4 Participants 22 students Fourteen 9 th graders, two 10 th graders, five 11 th graders, and one 12 th grader Three African Americans, seventeen whites, two Hispanic and one other Five male and 1 female; one in 9 th grade, 4 four in 11 th grade, and one in 12 th grade that are particularly disruptive

5 Intervention Positive reinforcement classroom management style in my classroom. Using because of Current Hardships/disruptions in the classroom. I plan to implement a positive reinforcement classroom management plan with the idea to work with the students that are disruptions in the classroom to be able to better their education process and motivation so that the classroom is a more welcoming and successful space.
