6 SPC Developmental Education Options Course CategoryDefinitionSPC Offering Modularized Content divided into individualized components; students work on their deficiencies. Developmental Reading Developmental Writing Developmental Math Gateway to Intermediate Algebra Compressed Short session courses allow students to complete multiple courses in one semester. My Bridge to Success Integrated Reading and Writing Developmental Math Contextualized Students learn the content corresponding to their academic pathways. In progress Corequisite Students are concurrently enrolled in a developmental course and a corresponding credit-bearing course in the same discipline. Developmental Writing + Composition I

8 Student Groups  Students entering 9 th grade in a Florida Public School in 2003- 2004 (or after) AND  Earned a Florida Standard High School Diploma  OR Active duty member of any branch of U.S. Armed Services  Private High School Graduates  Home-schooled High School Graduates  GED Completers

9 Testing and Placement 1)Flexible Placement Students are NOT Required to: a) Take a College Placement Test to determine college readiness b) Take Remedial/Developmental Education courses based on college readiness assessments 2)They CAN: a) Enroll in college-level courses regardless of their college readiness status b) Choose to take college placement test and/or enroll in developmental education courses Remedial
