6 Quality Enhancement Cell  This is the Academic Arm of the IR  HEC requirement to have a QEC  Establishment of QEC in SZABIST

7 Main Functions of QEC  Promoting public confidence that the quality and standards of the award of degrees are enhanced and safeguarded.  Review of quality standards and the quality of teaching and learning in each subject area.  Developing program specifications (standard set of information clarifying what knowledge, understanding, skills and other attributes a student will have developed through a specific program).  Developing quality assurance processes and methods of evaluation to affirm that the quality of provision and the standard of awards are being maintained.  Regular monitoring and evaluation including program monitoring, faculty monitoring, and student’s perception

8 Establishment of QEC  QEC has been established by many public universities till date  A brief count of the establishment of QEC is as follows  62 universities have QEC in their universities
