2. SUMMER READING The Library of Michigan supports Summer Reading programs in Michigan by purchasing membership in the Collaborative Summer Library Program (CSLP) for public libraries in Michigan. 2

SUMMER READING - MEMBERSHIP What does CLSP membership mean?  We can purchase manuals – children, teen, and adult – and send them out to every public library building.  Public libraries, as members, can use the program manuals, graphics and PSAs at no charge.  Public library staff can sign up for free accounts at the CSLP site and gain access to additional proprietary materials. 3

Goals:  to promote the value and benefits of reading early and often to preschoolers  to increase awareness and usage of Michigan's libraries  provide a consistent message across communities about children and literacy. 8
