5. Lets see it again! Begin with a monochromatic drawing in a color that compliments, or adds interest to, the artwork. A good sense of values is Key.

6. After the under- painting has dried somewhat begin adding general color tones.

7. Complete finished colored tones.

8. William Whitaker makes it look easy but the finish is quite hard to do well without making the painting look plastic.

9. Don’t be afraid to let your under-painting show through the brush work.
