Discover the Dosmatic Difference Trouble Shooting your Dosmatic injector for years of service.

Congratulations You’ve purchased the best chemical injector available No extra cost for proprietary composite body, which exceeds PVDF for chemical compatibility and for mixing aggressive chemicals. No extra cost for built-in on/off switch, which allows user to stop the injection—but not the system. Separate internal mixing chamber to prevent chemical contact with motor piston—for longer life and uniform mixing. Highest standard operating pressure in the industry, Minimizing pressure surge damage. Industries Best 3 Year Limited Warranty

The solution filter on the suction tube should not be removed and should be kept at least 2” from the bottom of the solution bucket or tank to prevent debris from clogging the filter and stopping the injector from functioning. If the filter is clogging, check to be sure that it is at least 2” from the bottom. If the solution is not thoroughly dissolved, your filter may become clogged. Check to be sure that your entire chemical is dissolved. You may need to add an agitator to keep the solution from settling. Keep the solution container covered so that debris does not contaminate your solution and clean the solution container occasionally to prevent dirt and scale build-up. My solution filter keeps clogging. Can I just remove it?

Dosmatic injectors should make a gentle clicking noise when in operation. If it is not clicking and your unit has just been installed: Did you remember to remove the red plugs at the inlet and outlet openings? Is the water pressure appropriate for the model injector? Is the water flow within model specifications? Is the water flow in the direction of the arrow located on the injector body? Is the water source turned on? Is the bypass valve closed and the inlet & outlet valves open? My injector is not working and is not clicking. What do I do? Additional issues to check:

If your injector is not clicking and has been working previously: Is the injector working at high water flows but not at low water flows? If so, then the problem may be a worn o-ring located in the lower area of the injector body. Inspect and replace the o-ring, if necessary. Has the injector been disconnected from the water source for longer than 30 days? If so, submerge the injector in water for 24 hours so that the sealing parts can reabsorb water and swell back to the proper size. Is the injector still not clicking: Do not open the upper body. Call the Dosmatic Technical Department at (800) 344-6767 or your local distributor for further assistance. If you are still experiencing problems…

If the injector is clicking, but not drawing solution, check the following: Inspect and clean the solution filter. Be sure it is suspended at least 2” off the bottom of the solution container. Examine suction tube for blockage, crimping or cracking. Replace if necessary. Inspect the dosage piston if worn replace. My injector is clicking, but it is not drawing solution. What do I do? Be sure to first rinse the injector with clean water. The lower end may contain full strength solution that could be dangerous. Read the warning labels on the containers of chemicals being injected and observe any precautionary statements. See your instruction manuals for piston shaft removal and replacement If you are still experiencing a problem after following the above steps, call Customer Service at (800) 344-6767, Or contact your local distributor. Dosage Piston/Shaft Replacement

Unscrew the suction tube fitting assembly and be sure the parts are clean. Look for debris in the suction tube fitting assembly and rinse under running water. Check the suction tube for cracks and replace, if necessary. Do I have to return my injector to Dosmatic’s corporate office if it needs repair? If your injector requires maintenance or repair beyond your expertise, Dosmatic has service centers worldwide and can handle most repairs. For the service center closest to you, contact Dosmatic at (800) 344-6767. If there is no service center near you please call us for shipping instructions to the nearest Dosmatic office. My water is draining back down the suction tube or backfilling and overfilling the solution container? What do I do?
