7. 1. Registration ONLINE REGISTRATION SYSTEM IS OPEN!!! 7

Entry requirements According to the European Masters Games spirit, registrations are also open to non-European citizens, since athletes do not represent their country but they compete for themselves. Registration deadlines: May 16 th, 2011 EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION (with a 15% discount on the registration fee) July 31 st, 2011 FINAL REGISTRATION 8

9. Registration Fee The EMG Lignano 2011 competitor registration fee is euro 120.00, which has to be paid for by July 31 st, 2011 (final registration). Should the registration fee be paid for by May 16 th, 2011 (early bird registration), a 15% discount will be granted (the fee is reduced to euro 102.00). Trainers and Accompanying Persons’ registration fee is euro 60.00, which has to be paid for by July 31 st, 2011 (final registration). Should the registration fee be paid for by May 16 th, 2011 (early bird registration), a 15% discount will be granted (the fee is reduced to euro 51.00). The registration fee for Team Sports (Beach Rugby, Futsal, Handball) is euro 800.00, which has to be paid for by July 31 st, 2011 (final registration). Should the registration fee be paid for by May 16 th, 2011 (early bird registration), a 15% discount will be granted (the fee is reduced to euro 680.00). 9

The registration fee for Athletes includes Parade and entry to the opening and closing ceremony; Free transport on city buses of Lignano Sabbiadoro; Transport to and from competition venues outside Lignano Sabbiadoro, available only on the day of their competition and for the sport they are registered for (upon request); Medical assistance on competition fields; Free entry into all competition fields; Certificate of competitor participation; Medals to the first three in the ranks; Registration kit including accreditation pass, games information guide, tourist information material and sport bag; Friuli Venezia Giulia Card – (Personal card entitling them to sightseeing tours, discounts for museum entrances and several services in the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region); Entry into Game - and Expo Centre; Entry to social events; Discounts in several shops in Lignano Sabbiadoro. The registration fee does not include: Transport to and from airports and railway stations; Transport to and from training venues located outside Lignano Sabbiadoro; Transport to watch competitions of other sports to which the athlete is not accredited, scheduled outside Lignano Sabbiadoro; Catering service at competition venues; Excursions. 10

Volunteers Volunteers will be divided into two areas: 1.Sports volunteers, chosen and managed by the single Sports Federations 2.Volunteers chosen by the Organization who will manage the accreditation, the management of the Sports Centre and the Games Centre, Transports, Logistics, Translations and Interpreting Services, etc. We will involve High Schools as well as Universities, together with everyone applying individually and coming from all European Countries. 40

43. 8. Health and Doping Control The way healthcare works There is a medical assistance in all sport venues where accredited persons may obtain ordinary medical assistance. The pharmaceutical products used at the centre are free whilst all other medicines bought at chemist’s will have to be paid for. Accident insurance. All participants who have a TEAM card must submit an insurance policy for the accidents which are not included in the free health service assistance; the remaining athletes must submit an accident insurance and health policy for hospitalizing and repatriation charges. Participants lacking such insurance can take it out with the insurance company of the Organizing Committee either at the Games Centre, or directly online, through a link that will be activated on our website. Antidoping. All participants accept to be subjected to doping tests which will be carried out according to IMGA – WADA regulations. 43

44. 9. Ceremonies and Culture Opening Ceremony The official ceremony will take place on Sunday 11 th September at Lignano Stadium. Closing Ceremony The official ceremony will take place on Tuesday 20 th September at Lignano Beach Arena. 44
