8 Advantage Fitness Program (AFP) is a wellness initiative that allows NGA civilian government employees to exercise at their duty location up to three hours per week as excused absence from duty time - without utilizing their personal leave. The AFP is designed to allow employees the flexibility they need in order to make physical fitness a part of their life. A regular exercise program keeps you mentally alert and physically fit, improves health, and enhances the quality of your work life and personal life.

9 Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) provides educational opportunities to develop critical skills and knowledge that contribute to the Agency's mission and performance goals. pays 100 percent of tuition costs at accredited colleges or universities for approved mission related courses. funds textbooks, library, laboratory, and computer usage fees for approved courses of study. is open to all NGA civilian employees.

10 Student Employment Program Basics work a minimum of 10 weeks during the summer. evaluations at the end of each summer and with successful performance, student assignments could be extended yearly until graduation. enrolled at least half-time in an accredited two-year or four-year college or university. The definition of half-time is the definition provided by the school in which you are enrolled. The accrediting body must be recognized by the Department of Education. cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Students must maintain a 3.0 GPA to remain in the program. graduate, baccalaureate or associate degree program with coursework related to NGA’s mission (see Desirable Qualification Criteria in each AON for relevant coursework). a U.S. citizen and at least 18 years of age. able to obtain a top secret security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information. You will be tested for illegal drug use. Use of illegal drugs within the last 12 months is generally not acceptable. Illegal drug use prior to 12 months ago is carefully evaluated. most student positions are in the Washington, DC metro area and in St. Louis, MO. Indicate any location preferences in your online application.

11 Stokes Scholarship Program A small number of high-achieving college sophomores interested in a career with NGA will be offered tuition assistance to accredited colleges or universities, provided challenging summer work, and guaranteed a position in their field of study upon graduation. Students accepted into this program will attend classes full-time during the academic year, and work at NGA during the summer in positions related to their course of study.

12 Stokes Scholarship Program Eligibility Criteria 1. A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above 2. Baccalaureate degree programs should be focused toward the following academic programs deemed critical to NGA, such as: foreign area studies, computer science, international relations, political science, chemistry, physics, biology, microbiology, pharmacology, toxicology, engineering, or intelligence analysis related courses 3. U.S. citizenship of applicant (please be aware that security clearances cannot be granted to applicants who hold dual citizenship) 4. Financial need as demonstrated by an annual household income 5. Additional requirements may include written assessment exercises and interviews telephonically or in person

13 Stokes Scholarship Program Program Benefits 1.Tuition and required fees (limited to $18,000 per year) toward a four-year degree program at an accredited college or university selected by the student and endorsed by the agency 2. An annual salary (paid bi-weekly) to cover room and board and other personal expenses 3. Full-time employment in a job related to their academic major during summer vacation while in college 4. Full benefits including health insurance, life insurance, and retirement 5. A position at NGA after graduation appropriate to their skills and abilities

14 Pat Roberts Intelligence Scholars Program Congress established the Pat Roberts Intelligence Scholars Program (PRISP), in honor of Senator Patrick Roberts of Kansas, in 2004 to recruit and train analysts and linguists who are committed to a career in the Intelligence Community (IC). NGA uses PRISP as a hiring bonus for individuals with certain hard-to-find skills, and to fund reimbursement of previous educational expenses or continuing education for current NGA analysts and linguists who have less than 24-months employment with the Intelligence Community. PRISP nominees must meet the following basic eligibility requirements: 1.Be employed as an analyst or linguist 2.Be a pay band 3 or below 3.Have less than two years employment in the IC (former contractor and military experience do not count against the two year window) 4.Receive supervisory endorsement 5.Sign a service agreement for 18 months of continuous employment with NGA in exchange for each award
