 Many people use pedometers when they walk or run  These shoes would have pedometers built in that calculate steps, distances, and calories burned  They would mainly measure heart rate to control exercise

 Heart rate sensors are already on fitness equipment in gyms  The sensor would be on the sole of the shoe  Depending on weight and age, person wearing shoes could see heart rate and how intense the workout is  Those who need light exercise could make sure they don’t overwork themselves  Those who want cardio activity could gauge their activity by their own heart rate levels

 Those with health problems could monitor exercise reasonably  Everything is in the shoe- no extra parts required  Different types of workouts can be achieved for different health goals  Fewer people would be “overworked” due to pushing themselves too hard past their maximum heart rate

 New drivers have difficulty judging distances between cars for parking  Old drivers with new cars have difficulty judging space in rear  Accidents are caused by poor judgment of parking spot size, distance between cars, size of car, etc.

 Also known as Sound Navigation and ranging  Used by submarines underwater  Originally used by whales and other animals for communication and navigation  Sound waves are released around the boat (or animal)  The length it takes for the waves to return determines the size and distance of object

 Small apparatus at back (and front) of car  Before parking, driver would remotely turn on and activate sound waves  Waves would send message to handheld remote, telling driver how far to drive and at what speed to accurately park  Can also be used for parking in garages

 Sneakers  Heart rate sensors are already patented and are found on exercise equipment and other health tools  Shoes with pedometer-type devices are also patented, but no shoes actually have sensors  After looking at USPTO.gov, there is some kind of heart rate measuring shoe Sonar Parking SONAR is patented It appears that, after looking at the patent website, there is no apparatus explicitly for parking that uses SONAR technology
