12. Meet the partners Nepal Water for Health NEWAH has a vision for improved quality of life for all Nepali people by improving water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) services. NEWAH are looking for Two placements: 1.Catchment hydrology, groundwater recharge and Rainwater Harvesting. To Assist NEWAH staff to establish pilot catchment level recharge schemes, Rainwater harvesting projects, whilst building capacity within NEWAH. 2.Mainstreaming Climate Change Adaptation. To Work with NEWAH teams to establish and implement climate change adaptation plans in different regions.

14. Meet the partners PLAN, Timor Leste Plan has been working in Timor-Leste since 2001, helping poor children to access their rights to education, health, livelihoods and protection. PLAN are looking for a WASH Field Construction Advisor To Improve local technician's capacity to undertake technical surveys, hydraulic analysis and quality construction works for water supply and sanitation facilities in rural Timor Leste.

Meet the partners Dili Institute of Technology, Timor Leste DIT’s mission is to offer education, vocational training, research and service in science, technology and professions appropriate to the national development of Timor Leste and to the socio-economic progress within the region. DIT need a Civil Engineering Advisor, to Developing DIT's civil engineering course, which will involve the development of curriculum, laboratories, practical components and teacher training. Volunteer placement will include developing education standards, curricula and syllabi, laboratory and practical training and assistance with training of DIT lecturers.

Meet the partners Rainwater, Cambodia RainWater Cambodia was established in 2004 to formalise and promote rainwater harvesting in order to help improve access to safe water sources and sanitation in rural areas throughout Cambodia. Water & Sanitation Advisor Develop RWC's technical capability in rainwater harvesting, water supply and sanitation systems. Supporting their expansion into renewable energy and climate change adaptation programs.

Meet the partners East Meets West East Meets West Foundation (EMF) is a well established NGO in Vietnam, with a number of successful programs in education, health, school and hospital construction, dentistry and water and sanitation. Sanitation Project Field Advisor To support monitoring and evaluation staff to look at technical aspects of latrine systems in the field. Technical support to waste management solutions for sludge removal, handling, distribution and disposal

Meet the partners Royal University of Phenom Penh (RUPP) Computer Science Technical Support Advisor To support upgrade the computer network systems and to improve RUPP’s teaching of computer networking theory and its applications. Support in microprocessor theory and its practical applications.

20. Meet the partners Live and Learn Environment Education An ecological sanitation toilet has been developed for floating communities on the Tonle Sap Lake in Cambodia. Sanitation and Energy Technical Advisor To Support and provide advice to Live and Learn's technical WASH staff - especially related to appropriate Sanitation and Energy options for floating communities.

Meet the partners Habitat for Humanity Viet Nam Habitat for Humanity Viet Nam supports the approximately 4.6 million poor households in the country through building and repairing homes and financial and technical assistance. Require a Sustainable Construction and Materials Advisor For Housing Design and construction material research and trials for low cost housing in rural Vietnam.

And a special placement … Cambodia & Viet Nam Field Officer Work directly with EWB and be our representative on the ground in Cambodia & Vietnam Developing new relationships with community partners and others in the development and engineering industry in Cambodia and Vietnam, while supporting EWB Volunteers in the field. Suitable for an engineer; science; community or international development background.

23. Meet the partners Working With Australian based Knowledge hub (and technical partner: RAMP –Carbon) team to undertake Carbon Finance Feasibility study for an EWB partnership. Pending outcomes of feasibility, there will be an opportunity to travel to partner organisation to implement the project Australian based Team leader for Carbon Feasibility

24. Meet the partners Working within the relevant EWB chapter, the buddy will link Field Volunteers to the Australian EWB community. The buddy will be an Australian based support role for each EWB Field Volunteer. Providing all forms of support, linkages to the chapter, knowledge hubs and Australian based networks. Meet the partners Knowledge Hubs 2012/13 Lead Australian wide team for a thematic field (e.g. WASH, Energy, ICT etc) 1.Member Engagement Providing support to regional activities focused on training and education in appropriate technologies. This includes the appropriate technology component of working bee’s in NSW; arduino training in SEQ; and workshops in Vic. 2.Project Support Development Knowledge Hubs to coordinate a buddy system, enabling effective project support to field volunteers. 3.Community of Practice Knowledge Hubs will lead regular thematic conversations in humanitarian engineering through a variety of media.
