3 Pollution 4.Local Industry -emissions from factories react with water vapour (acid precipitation) 5.Livestock Wastes -Bacteria (coliforms) flows into creeks and rivers 6.Household Wastes -everyday products (chemicals) improperly disposed

4 Pollution 7.Pesticides and Fertilizers -agricultural (poisons) drift great distances ending up in lakes, fields and food 8.Mining Operations -waste materials (tailings) of heavy metals and acids into the water table 9.Nuclear Waste -no method of making (radioactive) material safe in the environment -used in power plants, medical and military installations
