ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA Class: Dependent/Independent Students aged under/over 23 Years “ordinarily resident with parents” NB First Point of Entry to Further/Higher Education Nationality: Irish, EU, EEA, Swiss nationals or specific leave to remain in State Residency : 3 of last 5 years in Ireland, EU, EEA or Switzerland Progression: Previous education (participation or attainment) Progression in education – NFQ levels 5-10 Course: Approved full-time courses in approved institutions leading to major awards (prescribed by Minister) ‘Reckonable’ Income: from all sources o Whose income? parents/legal guardians/spouse/cohabitant/civil partner o Thresholds: under €31,500 (Full PG rate of €2,000) under €22,703 (Special Rate of PG rate of €6,270) o Increments for dependent children and relevant persons in education
