2 Objectives o to identify, analyze and compare the existing curricula on Innovation, Open Innovation, and Global Innovation Management (GIM) across Europe o Theoretical sampling o Questionnaire hosted on platform

3 Methodology o February and May 2014 o Main topics: o list of the courses which deal with Innovation/ Innovation Management topics at different educational level (bachelor, master, PhD): o title of the course/ type of the class (mandatory or optional)/ ECTS credits; o number of hours (in total; per week)/ number of hours within the course dedicated to OI o average number of students per class; o type of qualification (e.g. Economics, Engineering, etc.); o year when the course has been introduced for the first time; / year when OI has been introduced o language(s) used for teaching ; o background knowledge or prerequisite (if required); o learning objectives and course topics : o references and readings on Open Innovation used for teaching o method of instruction (e.g. lectures, cases, on field training, etc.)

18 Conclusions o Lots of variety o No consistency across region, bachelor to master level o Subjects mainly in bussiness and engineering

19 Conclusions from BP o Multidisciplinary approach o Cases and practical projects o Visits o Mixture of lecturers o Mixture of situations (succes and failure) o Masters programs concentrate also on final products and whole process o Knowledge and technology transfer between R&D sector and the industry
